In short

A family helper is someone you trust, such as a son, daughter or niece, who helps you run your listing. You invite them, choose what they can do, and can remove them at any time. They can never accept a lodger, confirm an arrangement or change the rent for you. Those decisions are always yours.

What can a helper do?

You choose. A helper can be allowed to edit your listing, reply to messages, arrange viewings and keep a shortlist. Every action they take is logged so you can see it.

What can a helper never do?

  • Accept a lodger.
  • Confirm an arrangement.
  • Change the rent or payment details.
  • Remove your verification.

What do lodgers see?

Lodgers see a note saying the listing is managed with help from your helper, and messages from a helper are labelled as sent on your behalf. It keeps things honest.

How do I add or remove a helper?

Invite them from your account. You confirm the invite with a one-off code, and you can remove them in one click whenever you like.
